In partnership with Lakeshore Records, Megatapes presents SYNCHRONICITY Original Motion Picture Soundtrack on CASSETTE. The album features the film’s original score by Ben Lovett, his sixth collaboration with Writer/Director Jacob Gentry.
The cassette features a new illustrated cover by John Bergin and is a Limited Edition of 250.
SYNCHRONICITY is mind-bending ‘Sci-fi Noir’ in the tradition of Blade Runner, Gattaca and Memento. “Jacob and I were raised on 80’s movies and the music of John Carpenter, Wendy Carlos, Vangelis, Jean Michel Jarre and others who pioneered the sound of that era,” says Lovett. “Since the visual tone of SYNCHRONICITY is very much inspired by science fiction films from that time period, we wanted to approach the music with similar reverie to reinforce the overall aesthetic goals of the film.”
What better way to recall the sound of an 80’s film score than listening to it on cassette? Megatapes founder, John Bergin, says; “Every time I listen to music on cassette I am stunned by the warmth and clarity of the sound, especially when I listen to music that I am very familiar with. I’ve listened to Ben’s SYNCHRONICITY score nearly a hundred times. The first time I heard it on cassette, it was like hearing it for the first time - there is incredible detail and saturation in the sound. Cassettes offer a listening experience unlike any other format.”

Never ever feel as precise the feeling i'm travelling through the infinite Cosmos, but safe in my chair. My personnal favorite album of Wojciech, just in front of Hiroshima, and that saying something about the work and the talent of the man. Cosmoclems
It's hard to pick a favourite track. This is the only album i have so far deemed as "perfect", where every track, even the intro, is just a masterpiece in its own right. From the hard hitting Perturbator's Theme to the emotional title track, its 68 minutes of perfection. 10/10. connivingkhajiit

As I've lamented before, your music inspires me to make music. Thank you for all that you do (looking forward to "Interzone"). I'm curious, however, do you have recommendations for timing the score with the film itself? Just press play on both and enjoy? Let me know if you are able. Thank you. todas_las_morsas
